<P>Through a collaboration between the <A HREF="http://152.15.51.26">Department
of Physics</A> of <A HREF="http://unccvm.uncc.edu">UNCC</A> and the Carolinas
Medical Center, physics is employed to optimize therapeutic and diagnostic
modalities in various medical disciplines. </P>
<UL>

</A>-<A HREF="flw/flow.html" target="bottom">Flow analyses \ Rheology</A>: thermal and
mechanical potential of blood perfusion, and turbulent flow in vessels.

-<A HREF="therm/thermo.html" target="bottom">Thermodynamics</A> of interaction of various
energy sources with biological media (e.g. LASER, Radiofrequency and Microwave).

-<A HREF="img/img.html" target="bottom">Imaging technology</A>: CCD, thermography, fiberoptic,
and ultrasound.</LI>

<P>The collaboration between UNCC and the Laser and Applied Technologies
Laboratory at Carolinas Medical Center also spans across to the <A HREF="http://www.coe.uncc.edu">Departments
of Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering</A>, and Biology.</P>
